RECLAIMING THE NATIONS FOR CHRIST

The Reclaiming South Africa For Christ Biblical Worldview Summit received delegates from as far afield as Arizona and Zambia, from California to the Congo, from Nigeria to Botswana, from Zimbabwe and from all over South Africa.

Guest lecturers included Bishop Peter Ndhlovu of the Bible Gospel Church in Africa, Creation Science evangelist Philip Stott, American evangelist and artist Paul Young, Mrs. Dorothea Scarborough of the Gospel Defence League and George Oesch of KwaSizabantu Mission, along with Frontline Fellowship missionaries, Dr. Peter Hammond, Charl van Wyk and Timothy Keller. Presentations included: A War of Worldviews, Humanism is Self-Destructive, Poverty – Its Causes and Cure, The Christian Work Ethic, Reclaiming Africa For Christ, Making the Most of Your Time, The Greatest Century of Reformation¸ Understanding the Threat of Islam, Education – Foundations for the Future, Is Tolerance a Christian Virtue, Overpopulation and Biblical Economics, Creation Evangelism, The Pathway to Revival, The Christian Heritage of Freedom and Science, Biblical Principles For Civil Government¸ God’s Law and Evangelism, The Right to Life, The Urgent Need for Reformation, Combating Crime, Demolishing Evolution, Practical Steps to Reformation and much more.

Four workshops were held including an Evangelism Workshop, a Prayer Workshop – A Practical Programme to Revive Your Prayer Life, Debating and Public Speaking Workshop and Cleaning Up Our Communities Christian Action Workshop. Along with Bible Drill, hikes and sports, a visit to the penguins on Boulders Beach, and outreaches to Simons Town, Fish Hoek and Masipumalele, participants took part in Just A Minute debating skills games, and a hilarious Variety Concert. Films shown included Hotel Rwanda, The Da Vinci Deception, A Tale of Two Cities and Hell’s Best Kept Secret.

A parallel children’s programme was held incorporating the Evangelism Explosion and Walk Thru the Bible presentations, memory verses and a Reformation project. Children at the BWS learned about each of the great Reformers, and produced a large Reformation map and display board.

For those who were not able to take part in this inspiring Biblical Worldview Summit, CDs, DVDs and MP3’s are available for most of the presentations and workshops. Also many of the supplementary textbooks, including Biblical Principles For Africa, The Battle For Truth, Mind Siege, Renaissance or Reformation and The Greatest Century of Reformation, are also available.

Please do pray for the delegates as they have gone back to Nigeria, Botswana, the Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the USA that they will be able to establish Reformation Societies, Transformation Teams and Christian Action Groups in their communities.
