Women’s Day Outreaches 2006

On 9 August 2006 – National Women’s Day, Africa Christian Action set up displays and literature tables at three different shopping malls – Somerset Mall, Canal Walk, and Khayelitsha Shopping Centre in the Cape Town area. We were also able to send literature to three other volunteers – Ottery (Cape Town), Bloemfontein and Levuba (Limpopo province), who held similar outreaches in their areas.

Hundreds of roses were given to women and hundreds of balloons with Pro-life, Pro-family messages and Scripture verses were given to children. Thousands of leaflets saying, “Women need real protection and respect – not pious platitudes and public holidays” were given to interested shoppers.

We received many enthusiastic and positive responses from visitors and made some useful contacts.

Several of our volunteers even had the opportunity to share the gospel with a few people!
