FIGHT BACK
Peter Moss
In every country where firearm owners have tried to beat legislation they have failed for three reasons. Nobody had any idea of what kind of fight it was and ignored public opinion.
Every firearms organisation ignored every other firearms organisation and rather than joining forces chose to fight each other. Each thought government was willing to reason, negotiate, be appeased by acceptance of some measures or could cut a better deal for itself.
Does your organisation understand and know what to do about these three reasons of failure? Still has the same old leadership or leadership style? Do you want to win or just continue supporting failed methods and lose all? Join SAFF, the leaders in fighting back to restore our lost rights.

SPEAK OUT
Letters to the Editor keep the subject in the public eye and removes the bias given by gun control.
It is a platform to explain to the public why they should trust and respect legal firearm owners as well as the right to own a firearm.
One area that is seriously lacking attention is that of women’s publications. These do not take seriously or publish letters from men. Many have a gun control bias. They also have the largest circulation figures. Women are by far the largest group of supporters of gun control.
Contribute to legal action as this is a media event that can be used to gain even more publicity.
Lobby club members and get them active in some form of protest action or at the least hammering away at the media.
Distribute pamphlets and firearm News, hold meetings with interested people, ie neighbours...
Join neighbourhood watches.
Join your local CPF and keep gun control out.
Put your talents to work for the cause. Recruit subscribers for Firearm News.
Consider strike action, feet on the pavement of mass action.
Phone in to TV and Radio programs and listen to them.
Read newspapers, magazines and report adverse publications. Keep copies.
There are so many really simple but vital tasks that can be done that take less than 10 minutes to do. Everybody has 10 minutes free per day.
Join an organisation that is not willing to capitulate. Resign from organisations that have and tell them why.
Lobby your political party as well as the ANC.
Write to the President and Ministers. Phone them.
Attend political meetings and question politicians on the Firearms Control Act.
Attend gun control workshops and counter the lies.
As a business join Business Against Crime, become involved and make sure the anti-gun bias is removed or that no funding to anti-gun organisations or ideas takes place.
Lobby anti-rape groups for firearm training for women.
Respond to calls for submissions on legislation or other matters.
Attend gun shows and help out at stands that need you.
Help generate material for distribution.
Never become discouraged no matter how many times you fail. The SA Firearms Forum* is exactly that, a support group, as well as an active discussion group.
Do disarmed firearm owners make better fighters than complacent armed ”gutless wonders”? I don’t think so. They just get bitter and cry more in their beer.
Believe me there is a huge pile of suggestions I have left out but the idea is to advertise our position as widely as possible and counter the lies of gun control. Put money in to worthwhile efforts and to generate the funds so that they can take place.
Now lets hear it from the I don’t know what to do brigade.
