Dear Sir

Excellent Reporting on Corruption

I would like to commend the Cape Argus on its excellent reporting on the His People offerings theft story.

Church offerings are voluntary, unlike those of the government (commonly known as “taxes”),. Unlike the government’s regulations, the Bible only prescribes an offering of 10 % of income. And unlike the government, the Church is not afraid to deal with corruption.

It is time to replace our self-serving government “ministers” with God-fearing men and women who will bravely and honestly serve the people of South Africa? His People have set an excellent example – I would recommend them as candidates for the 2004 election.
