Smacking banned?

I read yesterday that a bill banning “corporal punishment” has been passed by the National Council of Provinces. This effectively means, should the bill be approved by the National Assembly, that it is illegal for parents to smack their kids.

So now I am not allowed to lovingly discipline my child, but I can kill my pre-born baby by abortion? South African lawmakers have gone mad.

The fruits of banning of corporal punishment in schools have been reaped in the disorder and rebellion that is now commonplace in many of them. The same will happen in our homes.

Abortion is the very worst form of child abuse – why not pass legislation protecting the most innocent and helpless children of all – pre-born babies from the violence of abortion?

Sincerely,

Taryn Hodgson
