Biblical Worldview Summit
We began our year with the Biblical Worldview Summit with over 130 participants, some coming from as far afield as Canada, the Congo, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, the United States and from all over South Africa. The five-day Biblical Worldview Summit programme included four devotions, twenty presentations, five films, four outreaches, five sports and team building activity sessions, a number of workshops, five discussion group sessions, Bible Drill, Just-A-Minute debating skills game, a hike, a Variety Concert, a Bible Exam and a series of Revival Prayer Meetings.

Some of the written responses that we received from participants included: “Wonderful! Amazing! Awesome! Definitely for every person who wants to know the Truth. I have learnt a lot!”; “I really liked that we had so many lectures, Bible devotions and Bible Drills. I’ve learnt to come back to my Bible that usually collected dust on the shelf!”; “Really amazing! My relationship with God and believing the whole Bible has convinced me not to be a coward anymore and to exercise.”; “Excellent – Enjoyed the lectures and fellowship and seeing unity in Christ across race/culture/denomination backgrounds”; “It was amazing!”; “I’ve drawn closer to God.”; “My spiritual life needed strengthening”; “Excellent! I felt the unity of the Spirit and enjoyed the fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ from all over Africa”; “Very good Biblical insights”; “The Bible Exam really opened my eyes”; “I’ve been emboldened with more confidence in evangelism”; “I’ve learnt to walk closer with God”.

Great Commission Course
Following the Biblical Worldview Summit, twenty participants continued with the three-week Great Commission Course which included outreaches throughout Cape Town and a Prayer Vigil placard protest and sidewalk counselling ministry outside the Marie Stopes abortuary in Bree Street.

March for Life
To mark the 21st Anniversary of the legalisation of abortion on demand in South Africa, Africa Christian Action organised and led the March for Life to Parliament in Cape Town. Marchers in Cape Town mourned the over 1.5 million babies killed by abortion since it was legalised in South Africa 21 years ago. Led by a hearse, followed by marchers dressed in black carrying small white coffins, crosses, flowers, placards and Scripture banners and with other members distributing pro-life leaflets to passers-by and to people travelling in vehicles stopped at traffic lights. We conducted a National Day of Repentance Prayer Vigil outside the gates of Parliament and prayed a Responsive Prayer of National Repentance and a Scriptural Imprecatory Prayer Proclamation. Thereafter some members went on to protest outside the Marie Stopes abortuary.

In Deuteronomy 21:1-9 the Scriptures tell us that when a person is killed, the elders of the city should come to the gates and declare “our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it, accept atonement for Your people whom You have redeemed, Oh Lord, and do not hold Your people guilty of the blood of an innocent man.” It is vital that we mobilise spiritual and civil leaders of the city to respond to the abortion holocaust by taking a prophetic stand and asking God to have mercy on our nation for the blood of thousands of innocent babies killed by abortion every month. Every protest is used as an evangelistic outreach, not only to passers-by, but also to the media and to government officials.

South Africa Mission
We praise God for His blessing and protection of Joseph, Francis, Emma and Dr Hammond who conducted a packed and productive Mission around South Africa. They drove over 4,000km, conducted 45 meetings, including 4 church services, 3 school assemblies, a Biblical Worldview Seminar in Pretoria, a Bible College Consultation, a Youth Conference – with over 700 mostly Zulu young people, ministry at 4 Missions, 25 presentations and sermons and recording 20 devotions for Radio Khwezi.

Literature for South Africa
They also delivered Bibles and books to many different ministries, Missions and churches for Literature4Africa. All in all our team delivered and distributed over 2.5 tonnes of Bibles, books, Gospel booklets, tracts and audio visual materials to 18 venues in 6 Provinces of South Africa.

Orange Free State
This South African Mission began with a 14-hour drive from Cape Town to Goldfields Mission in the Orange Free State where Dr Hammond was asked to give a presentation on: The Coming Persecution of Christians: What to Expect and How to Prepare. In the morning, Francis and Emma taught the school assembly the Ten Commandments and Evangelism Explosion.

Biblical Worldview Seminar - Pretoria
They then drove up to Pretoria and set up for the Biblical Worldview Seminar which was hosted by Elim Full Gospel Church in Hatfield. After Bible Drill, Dr Hammond gave presentations on: The Challenge of Islam; Comparing the Bible and the Quran and Challenging Muslims with the Gospel.

Understanding the Times and Reaching Out
On Saturday, Dr Hammond dealt with Worldviews in Conflict; Resisting Babylon and the Beast; Biblical Solutions to Poverty; Crime and Corruption and Setting the Captives Free. Our team also conducted an Evangelism and Debating Workshop and Street Outreach in the afternoon. After the evening presentation on Slavery – What You Have Never Been Told and a vigorous Question and Answer time, our team screened The Atheist Delusion film. On Sunday, Peter presented the Sunday morning sermon on The Greatness of the Great Commission and in the evening on What Would David Livingstone Say to Us Today?

Bible College Consultation
100 participants from 20 countries, representing 30 Bible colleges and universities gathered at the Word in Action campsite with participants from America, Botswana, England, Eretria, Germany, Kenya, Korea, Malawi, Mozambique, Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Dr Hammond was requested to conduct Workshops on Rejecting the Influence of Secular Humanism. These involved much discussion. Our team donated libraries for pastors, professors and lecturers participating in the consultation and a good quantity of books for the libraries of the 30 Bible colleges and universities represented.

KwaSizabantu Mission
After ministering at Adullam Mission, the team travelled through to KwaZulu Natal. On the Saturday they drove through to the Tugela Valley Mission. It was a tremendous inspiration and encouragement for them to see the progress made in the last nine years in this hot and mostly dry valley. Passing the infamous Nkandla residence of Jacob Zuma enroute, through dongas and often dry riverbeds, where mostly thorn bushes grow, it was like coming to an oasis when they arrived at KwaSizabantu’s new Mission base in the Tugela River Valley. Pineapples, litchi, dragon fruit, papayas, pears, oranges and bananas were flourishing. Sheep, buck, bees and a host of other farming enterprises were making the valley literally flow in milk and honey.

Zulu Children for Christ
The KSB Church was packed with children gathering for a special programme which included soccer and other sports. Emma and Alieske taught the children the Roman 6:23 Marching Song and the Evangelism Explosion Gospel presentation. Peter then gave a presentation on Children Under Persecution in Angola, Mozambique and Sudan.

Youth Conference
On Monday, 25 June, the Youth Conference began with something in the region of 7,000 young people who came from far and wide. Dr Hammond gave them a presentation on Body Piercing – A Return to Paganism. This engendered a lot of discussion, counselling and interest. On Tuesday, Dr Hammond presented Remember the Persecuted and having delivered a large quantity of Bibles, books and World Missionary Press Gospel booklets to KSB, they headed off to travel through the Transkei to their next engagement.

Turning the World Right Side Up
After delivering Bibles to Advance for Life Christian School in East London, they raced through to Port Alfred, where a number of churches had come together for an evening presentation, where Peter was asked to deal with Turning the World Right Side Up. Thereafter, they visited other long-time friends across the Eastern and Western Cape, delivering Bibles, books, audio visual materials and World Missionary Press Gospel booklets and tracts, to different schools and ministries.

Missions in the Mall – Women's Day Outreaches
63 Volunteers helped us distribute over 6,000 tracts, leaflets and Gospel booklets and over 2,000 balloons with Scripture messages on them, in three shopping malls on Thursday, 9 August (National Women's Day) in South Africa. We have been conducting these missions in the malls every Women’s Day since 1995.

Balloon Evangelism
The messages on the balloons included: "A woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:30; "End Modern Day Slavery - Stop Human Trafficking!”; "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves." Proverbs 31:8; "Women and children are precious!”; "If the Son sets you free you will be free indeed." John 8:36; "The Bible is the greatest Book ever written"; "Give us this day our daily bread…" Matthew 6:11; "Read the Bible Every Day."; "The family that prays together - stays together."; "Stop Human Trafficking! - Trafficking is Modern Day Slavery" and "You shall know the truth and the Truth shall set you free." John 8:32.

Child Evangelism
The children were plainly delighted to be given these colourful balloons. Soon the shopping centres were filled with children carrying our colourful balloons with Scriptural messages.

Leading People to Christ
By God's grace, we were able to counsel over 22 people through our Spiritual Well-Being Questionnaire, leading them through The Way of the Master and Evangelism Explosion questions to confront them with the Law of God and the reality of eternity. To each of these people we gave a free copy of the New Testament and/or The Biggest Question DVD. This one-hour DVD is one of the most effective Evangelistic DVDs available.

Public Hearings on Land Expropriation without Compensation

Dr Peter Hammond attended the Cape Town public hearings on Land Expropriation without Compensation” and although he was not given an opportunity to give a presentation, he helped distribute Christian literature to the hundreds of attendees. You can read his Fraud, Failure and Farce article on www.christianaction.org.za or watch the video presentation on the video gallery on www.frontlinemissionsa.org .

Raft of Anti-Freedom, Anti-Family, Pro-Death Legislation Before Parliament

Along with the ANC’s attempts to change the Constitution to allow “land expropriation without compensation”, there are also seven other Bills and/or potential Policies that would further erode morality and our Christian freedoms. The Department of Education’s Policy on Home Education has been passed. This is as of a serious threat to the freedom of curriculum choice in home education as the draconian Basic Education Bill (BELA Bill). This Policy attempts to monitor home learners by requiring them to be regularly assessed by state-approved “competent” assessors. Assessment results must be evaluated by the DBE to take remedial actions when results do not meet their minimum requirements. This will have a negative financial impact on parents and taxpayers. The Children’s Third Amendment Bill would outlaw physical discipline of children (spanking) by parents. In addition, the Films and Publications Amendment Bill was passed by the National Council of Provinces and can now be signed by the president. The legislation intends making vile and dehumanising types of pornography legally distributable in SA and legalises the online distribution of hard-core pornography to adult internet users. In addition, the broad definition of 'hate speech' means that you say something someone else doesn't like on the internet – whether it is real hate speech or not and they complain to the Films and Publications Board, they can order it be taken down from the internet and prosecute you.  This has very serious implications for political and media freedom of speech. COPE MP Deidre Carter’s private Members Bill that would force marriage officers to solemnise same-sex weddings, has been approved by Parliament as a “desirable” Bill. Also, this same MP’s “End of Life Bill” has been made available for comment. This bill would legalise Euthanasia. Christian Action will continue to mobilise prayer and action against all these threats.

International Life Chain Sunday
Up to a million Christians worldwide took part in the various Life Chains this 7 October, International Life Chain Sunday. A National March for Life, organised by the National Alliance for Life, took place in Umhlanga, Durban, with about 1 800 marching. About 80 Christians formed a Life Chain to proclaim the sanctity of life in Cape Town. The Life Chain inCape Town took place on the centre island ofBuitengracht Street (near the entrance to the Waterfront). Hundreds of pro-life and Gospel leaflets were distributed to motorists and pedestrians. Life Chains also took place in 2 other cities in South Africa: Bloemfontein and East London.

Biblical Issues Voters’ Guide 2019
As South Africa prepares for its national elections in May 2019, we have updated our Biblical Issues Voters’ Guide and website: www.SAvotersguide.org to urge Christians to vote according to Biblical principles. The Guide details the positions of 7 political parties on 8 key Biblical issues (the website details two additional parties and one additional issue). We have printed 10 000 copies for distribution and sharing this Voters Guide plus other Voter Educational Resources on social media.

New Book published: The Rise of the GayGB and Pink Inquisition
Seventeen years ago, Africa Christian Action published the landmark book – The Pink Agenda. Many South Africans thought that their society was quite “religious” and this “gay agenda problem” would never arise in South Africa. Yet most of the major goals drafted in the Lesbian and Gay Charter in 1992 and also legislated in America and many European countries, have already been enacted in South Africa. Many South Africans thought that local homosexual activists did not have such an extensive and aggressive social engineering agenda. But the South African homosexualist movement rapidly gained momentum, with every aspect of religious freedom, freedom of speech and freedom of conscience under threat as we speak. Now Africa Christian Action has published a much-needed, revised, updated and expanded edition of The Pink Agenda, with an apt new title: The Rise of the GayGB and Pink Inquisition, that captures this insidious threat to our religious and other freedoms. The book is now 258 pages with over 90 pictures, posters and cartoons.

Christians Targeted
Today, homosexual activist bullies – “the GayGB”, are the rising KGB of the West –– a force of radical homosexuals whose aim seems to include desensitising, intimidating, silencing and prosecuting Christians for their beliefs on marriage and morality. All over the world, Christians are being targeted, bullied and prosecuted for believing what the Bible teaches about the institution of marriage, sexuality and family.

Freedom of Religion is at Stake
If you think that the homosexual agenda won’t affect you or your family – you are wrong. As The Rise of GayGB and Pink Inquisition documents, the sexual revolutionaries want to transform the very fabric of society. They intend to reconstruct the family and homosexualise the schools - and they want government funding (your taxes) to do it! Freedom of speech and toleration of dissent are a fruit of Christianity and seldom in history have these freedoms been more at risk. We need an open and intelligent debate on the homosexual agenda.

Social Engineering
The homosexual activists’ own writings make it abundantly clear that, as part of a vast social engineering project, the pink agenda will not settle for the deviant being declared normal. They insist that the normal must be declared deviant."Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." Ephesians 5:11

Turning the Tide
With governments promoting homosexual pseudo-marriage right now, you need to be equipped with the facts and an understanding of where it will all end - if we do not stop the tidal wave! This book will equip you with ways to ensure that we not only resist the homosexualisation of future generations, but that we turn back the tide of sexual revolution in our country."Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in chief concourses, at the opening of the gates in the city she speaks her words." Proverbs 1:20-21

New Additions
Added chapters include: The GayGB and Pink Inquisition; The Gay Mafia Behind the Crisis in Roman Catholicism; Does the Redefinition of Marriage Really Matter?; Debating Homosexuality and the Bible on Radio; Bisexuals, Gays, Lesbians and the Bible; Perverted US Agenda Destabilises Nigeria and much more.

Africa Reformation Overland Mission
Ulrich Zwingli brought Switzerland back to the Bible through expository preaching - by preaching verse by verse through the New Testament, starting in Matthew one, verse one on the first of January 1519. We praise God for the safe return of our Africa Reformation Overland Mission team who were able to minister throughout Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania and Namibia. As next year is the 500th anniversary of the launch of the Swiss Reformation by Reformer Ulrich Zwingli, our team particularly focussed on conducting Biblical Exposition Workshops for pastors. Several Christian Action Network members and many other church leaders were able to receive copies of the new Biblical Preaching Handbook and our Old Testament Survey, as well as other books donated to us for the field such as Nine Marks of a Healthy Church, Expository Preaching and Taking God at His Word.

Education Open Days
We held three Open Days for Home Educators this year: South African History, Church History, and Early Twentieth Century South African History (with the focus being on the Anglo-Boer War). These involved parallel programmes for parents and older children, which Dr Hammond deals with and a children’s programme which Emma, Marina and Alpha focus on. You can see videos of these South African History and Church History presentations on our Vimeo video gallery on www.FrontlineMissionSA.org website and audio recordings on our Sermon Audio page.

Outreaches at UCT
By God’s grace, and in answer to prayer, the missionaries and missionary apprentice interns of Frontline Fellowship conducted weekly outreaches at UCT and were able to start a weekly Bible Study with new converts and/or undiscipled Christian students. They also partnered with other student ministries in participating in some of their apologetics outreaches.

Reformation Day Celebrations
Dr Hammond gave an inspiring presentation on Reformation prior to our Reformation Celebration Service, held at the Huguenot Monument in Franschhoek.

Christian Perspective on the News
Every Friday morning at 7.30am, we have an opportunity on Radio Cape Pulpit, to give an analysis from a Biblical Worldview of an incident, event or trend that happened in the news recently. Sometimes we speak about the consequences of breaking God’s Law and at other times, we highlight issues and events that the secular media censors but areas where Christians are making a positive difference.

23 Years of Salt and Light on Radio Tygerberg
August marked 23 years of Africa Christian Action’s Salt and Light programme, broadcast every Tuesday night on Tygerberg 104FM in Cape Town. Salt and Light aims to inform, inspire and involve Christians in making a positive difference, applying the Lordship of Christ to all areas of life. If you live in Cape Town, you can tune in to Tygerberg 104FM, Mondays, 9:30pm, or you can listen online on www.104fm.org.za through live streaming worldwide.
