If My People…
We need national prayer that seeks God's mercy and forgiveness for the national sin of abortion.

"If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" 2 Chronicles 7:14

 

International Event
Join together with thousands of other pro-life Christians in South Africa and tens of thousands of pro-lifers worldwide in prayer and action on this International Life Chain Sunday, 4 October. The National March for Life will simultaneously be taking place in Durban.

The more people pray, the more glory God will receive when He answers our prayers! (2 Corinthians 1:11)

 

Speak Up
God's Word commands us: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves" Proverbs 31:8.

With messages such as “Abortion Kills Babies”, “Abortion: One Heart Stops, Another Heart Breaks,” “Choose Life! So that you and your children may live,” and “Babies are a blessing,” Life Chain participants have informed millions of passing motorists as they line the streets of their cities - large and small, across America, Canada, South Africa, Zambia and in other countries worldwide.

 

Save Lives

Through these Life Chains we pray that God will enable us to reach:

 Mothers who are considering abortion,

Medical personnel who must decide whether to participate in abortions or not,

Christians who need to consider volunteering to work at a Crisis Pregnancy Centre,

Pastors who need to begin preaching on when life begins and how we are to love our pre-born neighbours,

Journalists who should present the other side of the abortion story,

Politicians who need to enact legislation to protect pre-born babies from the violence of abortion,

Lives that will be saved.

 

“If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength! Rescue those who are led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter. If you say, but we knew nothing about this, does not He who weighs the heart perceive it? Will He not repay each person according to what he has done?” Proverbs 24:10 -12

 

Outreach

At the Cape Town Life Chain we distribute thousands of pro-life leaflets and Gospel tracts to passing motorists and pedestrians. We trust the Lord has changed many minds and hearts as a result.

“So shall My Word be that goes forth from My Mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

 

Inform and Intercede
Africa Christian Action’s placards provided at the Life Chain, have pro-life information and prayer points on the back for participants to engage in prayer, as they stand and silently proclaim the truth about abortion.

"Wisdom calls aloud outside, she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gate in the city, she speaks her words."Proverbs 1:20-21

 

Powerful Impact on the Participants
Mike Kofroth, Life Chain state director for Wisconsin, USA says the event, which will take place on October seventh in most cities has a powerful impact on people.

“Since the start of Life Chain in Milwaukee, I have seen its most powerful influence has been on those who hold the placards,” he said. “This influence is most critical on children as they participate year after year,” he said, adding that it “can affect the public debate in ways beyond what we at first may realize.”

Family-Friendly
The Life Chain is a family-friendly event – children are welcome and those who have difficulty standing can bring folding chairs.

 

Giant Baby Shower
A giant baby shower will be held for KwaSizabantu Mission at the Cape Town Life Chain.  KwaSizabantu regularly helps destitute families. Please bring baby items to donate.
